I created un ikebana work with the summer flowers such as sunflowers and hibiscus syriacus for enjoying the end of summer.

In Japan, we use the flower of hibiscus syriacus for tea ceremony in summer since it is considered as the symbol of ephemerality. To be precise, this flower blooms only one day and wilts the next day, therefore we need to appreciate the life of this flower in an instant.

I hope this work will bring the opportunity to respect the ephemeral life of this flower of summer as well as we feel the end of this summer.
