I created an ikebana work with the flowers of anemones et gypsophila and branches of mimosa. Christmas is coming the next month, and I see the decoration of Christmas everywhere in the town. This atmosphere inspired me to choose the flowers of the Christmas colors.

We practiced the ikebana with the branches of Osyris Alba who has tiny red and orange fruits. The flowers which are warm colors are Ornithogalum, Anemone and Asclepias. They leave a room the warm ambiance in a brisk autumn day.
I used the branches of Fox Face and Sliver vein creeper for enjoying the color of automne. It’s getting colder and colder in the early morning and at night recently. I hope we can still enjoy the automne scenery before the long winter.
The season of Persian Buttercup (Ranunculus) has come! I chose the branches of mayflower and terebinth with the tiny fruits who can be shown as the image of harvest.
I organized a tea ceremony at Château d’ô in Montpellier last weekend. It was the first time to hold a tea ceremony outside, however, I found it very comfortable and refreshing as we could enjoy the beautiful scenery of automne there. I will hold a tea ceremony again at other season probably in the beginning

I created un ikebana work for the Halloween next week. In France, there are 2 weeks holidays around ‘All Saints’ Day‘ on November 1st, so there are quieter than usual in Montpellier. I hope you spend the wonderful holidays!
