As it continues raining and cloudy this week in Montpellier, I decided to use the elegant lily which lets us cheer up in spite of the adverse weather. I also took the European holly for this season. The flowers of white anemone bring a good balance with another materials.
We practiced the ikebana work for the New Year yesterday. It was difficult to create balance and harmony with more flower materials as usual. However, every participant did a great work! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I created un ikebana work with the image of bloom on the bush. What I chose for this work is the flowers of pincushion and ornithogalum. I also used the leaves of asperge which are scratchy.

I created the ikebana work with using the branches of apples and the ornamental cabbages. As for the ornamental cabbages, we often use them for the decoration of the New Year since they are gorgeous and long-lasting. In fact, we call them peony of leaves in Japanese because of their form.

We practiced the new forme with using the branches of ruscus. As for the flowers, we used eryngium, hypericum and Japanese skimmia.It’s a bit earlier to prepare for the Christmas, however, we created the beautiful flower works for the Christmas season.
