It was the last day in January yesterday. I chose the flowers of mimosa to welcome February at Sushi-bar. The mimosa fascinates many people with its fragrance, its color and its unique form. You will see them everywhere in the south of France at this season, and it is a picturesque scenery.

I created the ikebana work with the branches of pussy willow for depicting the scenery of snowing before the spring comes. I hope it will be a bit warm the next week.
We practiced the vertical form with the branches of pussy willow. This plant looks like snowing with the tiny white silver bud. It’s interesting to use this type of branches as we can easily bend and reform them.

We practiced one of the original forms with branches of pussy willow and mimosa this week. The scent of mimosa and freesia were in the air at the room, and we thought that the spring is just around the corner.
It’s incredibly cold this week in Montpellier! That’s why I would like to have created a floral composition surrounded by the atmosphere in Spring. I selected the flowers of blue veronica and colorful carnation in order to bring the warmth in the room. I hope it will be less cold the next week…
