Ikebana class on Sep 14
The new semester has started! I had 2 classes of ikebana today. We created ikebana works with the image of the moon-viewing which is one of the famous customs in autumn in Japan.

We used the tiges of American pokeweed for composing ikebana works today.
I hold a Tea ceremony at musée des arts asiatiques in Nice. It was nice seeing the people who are interested in the tea ceremony and who love the Japanese culture. Thank you for your participation. I will come back in November for the next time.

Today we went to the forest nearby my house for collecting plant that participants used for the ikebana work. It was very interesting to choose the plant by themselves for creating the own work. The tiges of softstem bulrush are easily folded and formed. Today we learned how to compose flowers with the abstract form of sofstem bulrush.
We used the softstem bulrush for the ikebana in the early summer.
Alliums, sunflowers and loquats.
We used the limonium, godetia and artichoke.
